How it’s Made

Craftsmanship & Materials

At Fermata Collection, every glass begins as a commitment to purity, precision, and timeless beauty. Unlike typical wine glasses that are mass-produced with glass additives, each Fermata Singing Glass is carefully handcrafted using 99.999% pure quartz crystal — one of the rarest and most refined materials used in stemware.

Precision. Purity. Performance.

Our process begins with raw quartz crystal — not glass — selected for its unmatched clarity and resonance. Through a meticulous and labor-intensive method, each piece is shaped by skilled artisans who understand the delicate balance required to retain the material's natural acoustic and aromatic-enhancing properties.

Handcrafted to Sing

Once shaped, every glass is tuned to produce a tuning-fork quality tone that can hum for up to one minute when gently rung. This musicality is not a gimmick — it’s a reflection of the purity and structure of the quartz. It’s what makes the Fermata experience one-of-a-kind.

A Vessel for the Senses

The ultra-pure quartz doesn't just sing — it enhances. The structure of each glass is engineered to amplify the wine’s aromatic bouquet, elevating the ritual of drinking into a multisensory experience. Whether it's the deep resonance of a Bordeaux or the subtle notes of a Chardonnay, the Fermata glass helps you appreciate it all — from sound to scent to taste.

Why Quartz, Not Glass?

Most wine glasses use silica mixed with additives to make production easier and cheaper. But additives dull the resonance, clarity, and sensory experience. Our choice of nearly flawless quartz makes each Fermata glass stronger, purer, and more expressive.
